Our Roman Blinds are made to sit outside the window frame, rather than inside. Fitting blinds inside the frame obstructs much of the view through the window, and light will come through gaps around the edges of the blind.
The ideal size/position of an outside fit roman blind is 10cm above the window frame, coming down to 10cm below the windowsill, and covering 5cm either side of the window frame (to the left and the right). This extra tolerance is a guide only and a little bit more or less is OK. For example, you might have two windows of a similar size in the same room, but to give a uniform look, you could make the roman blinds both the same size.
Please take these allowances into account when giving us your measurements. We do not work from your window measurements alone, we need the finished size of the blind that you require.
We make our widths and drops in increments, so please choose the nearest size that fits your requirement. When you are ready to order you can browse the range here.
You can also download this guide or download an order form to use as a reference before you place an order online, or if you wish to send us your order by post or fax.
WIDTH:This is the total width of your blind, including the 5cm extra allowance on each side (more or less allowance is OK). The total length of the blind, including the 10cm allowance top and bottom (more or less allowance is OK). |
